Glenna Janzen "From Bread and Salt to Roasted Zwieback and
Tears: Family Stories From the 1920s Russian Mennonites"
Glenna Janzen is a storyteller from St. Catharines, Ontario. She tells family
and Mennonite stories, as well as folktales, fairy tails, myths and epics.
Glenna gives workshops on storytelling, works with Worldwise International
Awareness Centre in their cross-cultural and anti-racism project "Fiesta
Cultural," teaches "Anytime Rhymes," and has helped plan numerous storytelling
festivals. Glenna is a founding member of the Storytellers Guild of Niagara,
and a member of The Burlington Storytelling Guild, the Storytellers School of
Toronto, and Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada. She is the Cock
Robin columnist for Appleseed Quarterly: The Canadian Journal of
Storytelling, and has travelled to Ukraine with the Mennonite Heritage
Cruise twice to tell stories.
