Rod Janzen
"Stories from the Hutter Past"


Dr. Rod Janzen is Professor of Education and History at Fresno Pacific University. He is the author of The Prairie People: Forgotten Anabaptists (University Press of New England, 1999). Janzen's presentation will focus on the "Hutters," or non-communal Hutterites. Many Hutters joined various Mennonite groups beginning in the late nineteenth century, including the Krimmer Mennonite Brethren. The Zion KMB Church, where this year's meeting will take place, was established by KMB Hutters from South Dakota in 1911.
