Mennonite Prosperity and Poverty in the Dutch Golden Age"


Dr. Mary Sprunger is a professor of History at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Her publications include "Rich Mennonites, Poor Mennonites : Economics and Theology in the Amsterdam Waterlander Congregation During the Golden Age" (Ph.D. dissertation, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1993), and Menno Simons: Places, Portraits, and Progeny (co-authored with Piet Visser, 1996).

Genealogical workshop in the Manitoba Room of the MB Biblical Seminary, led by Jeff Wall and Kevin Enns-Rempel

Dinner in the British Columbia Lounge, MB Biblical Seminary, followed by a brief business meeting. 
This year's dinner is once again catered by Jane Friesen, who will prepare a traditional Mennonite meal.

Program in the MB Biblical Seminary Chapel, featuring Mary Sprunger



Tickets for the dinner are $10.00 for Historical Society members; $12.00 for non-members. New memberships paid at the door will qualify for the member ticket price. There is no charge for the genealogical workshop or program. Reservations for the dinner must be made by April 11. Contact Kevin Enns-Rempel for dinner reservations.
