GRANDMA Project: How to order the CD

GRANDMA 5 will be available by December 1, 2006, and we are now taking orders. GRANDMA 5 includes:

• A genealogical database of 941,465 individuals whose ancestral lines can be traced to Mennonites in Poland or Russia. All data from previous versions of GRANDMA are included in this release.
• A copy of the Brother's Keeper 6 program, which is the recommended software for viewing and editing the genealogical database.
• Transcripts of ship passenger lists for Mennonites migrating from South Russia to the United States, 1872-1913.
• A GRANDMA user's manual is included on the CD and can be printed by the user. It includes instructions for installing the programs and data files, instructions for searching the database, and guidelines for entering new information into the database.

GRANDMA can be ordered in the following ways:

GRANDMA 5 CD-ROM with a registered copy of Brother's Keeper 6 This is recommended for users who do not already own a registered copy of Brother's Keeper 6. Includes a printed BK6 manual and registration password. $75 US plus $4 shipping.
GRANDMA 5 CD-ROM with an unregistered copy of Brother's Keeper 6 This is recommended for users who already own a registered copy of Brother's Keeper. (It is also possible to order this version now and register your copy of Brother's Keeper 6 later. The data can be accessed with either a registered or unregistered copy of Brother's Keeper). $30 US plus $4 shipping.
GRANDMA Online GRANDMA Online is a web-based interface that allows users to access the GRANDMA data without installing the data and Brother's Keeper program on their computer. The online version does not include data on living people and cannot generate many of the reports available on the CD version. It also does not include the ship lists and church lists found on the CD. It will, however, be regularly updated, and so will allow users to see the newest information added to the database as we work on future GRANDMA releases. You will be sent a user name and password form GRANDMA Online after we receive your order. The subscription is good for two years. $20 US.

A printable order form also is available for those who prefer to pay by check through the mail.

Please note that we are a small all-volunteer organization, and do not always have the ability to immediately respond to your orders or other questions. Orders received during weekends will not be acknowledged until the following weekday.
